Hey Guys,
Ive had my 5222L for years. recently changed over to the 8000 as its easier to see my whole room at once, rather than panning around.
but I was leaving for vacation and decided i wanted to just throw this on my camera list again to use for additional monitoring. took a while to get it back on, as it was still registered on My.Dlink but i had removed it from my app. Ended up hard resetting it, which wasnt working, and finally 'reset to factory' from the config page.
well 2nd day of the trip, it disconnected and was unusable the rest of vacation. Awesome. Got home mid week last week and started messing around with again because i wanted to see what the issue was. but i noticed I couldnt see the wireless page. Weird.
Well I just noticed the product ID or whatever you call it on top of the config page lists it as a DCS-5211!!
apparently thats the non-wireless version.
Ive reloaded the firmware from D-Link twice now, and when it reboots, it keeps coming back with the 5211. Did my Wireless card in the camera fry? I read it has a CPU to function as a standalone 'surveillance station' so maybe the wireless daughter board is dead, and when it loads the firmware it doesnt see a wireless card and installs the 5211 firmware instead??
any way to check / fix this?
