I am the owner of a brand new DIR 882, I set it up but the FTP speed it's not alright.
Basically I have a Samsung HDD 3.0 connected to the 3.0 port and I want to play the movies from the TV.
When I am downloading from the HDD in to the computer, I hit 40-45mb/s but when I upload, just 4-5mb/s. Do you have any idea why is that?
I'm not very technical but I was hoping that I can download from torrent straight in to attached HDD, but after 30 seconds it's showing disk overloaded 100% and it's freezing for about 30 seconds and after that the utorrent it's saying that the drive was disconnected.
The pc is connected through wire, on Windows 7, hardware version A1, firmware version 1.10.
I have the same problem with QoS on and off.

• What region are you located?

Whats the size of this USB drive?
Does this drive have it's town power supply or no?
Can you download your utorrent to the PC first then upload to the USB drive?

Hi.

I'm located in East of Europe, Romania.
The USB drive has 1 TB and it doesn't have an external power supply.
I would download them like you suggested but I'm downloading with 30 mb/s  and after that I will upload them with 7mb, it's not really worth it.

Can you try the drive with a power supply? Seen some issues with larger size drive not having enough power.
Might try a small sized USB drive connected to see if you see the same issue or not.

I am using a 1TB one and I reckon that it's not that big.

Ya, that's big. 
Can you try a small sized drive, like a USB flash drive?
Also not having additional power with large sized drive can impact how the drive performs as well.
