Different SSID for 2.4 and 5 GHz
« on: December 10, 2018, 07:05:01 PM »

I have a new DIR-867 which I am using as an access point (Static IP address and turned off DHCP, connect LAN port to my existing router).
It's running Current Firmware Version: 1.02  Current Firmware Date: 2018-07-09T15:02:42 filename DIR-867_REVA_FIRMWARE_1.02B02.BIN

I'm trying to assign a different SSID to the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, but It doesn't accept it. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Link>Welcome!

What browser are you using? Try IE11, FF or Opera.

It should accept any SSID value. What value are you using?
Might need a factory reset and set up from scratch...

Thank you for the reply.

I was using Chrome. I'll try a different browser.

I was using the default SSID for the 2.4, but added "5G" (no quotes) for the 5G side.

I'll try again, try a factory reset and report back.
