Can I use my DSL-224 as a wifi range extender?
« on: March 24, 2019, 07:13:20 AM »

I changed my ISP and I now have an extra D-Link router from my old ISP (airtel India).

Now I would like to go ahead and setup my old DSL-224 router as a range extender.

I did some research it seems it is possible. The GUI on the router's admin page though does not seem to have any such option to make it the extender under advanced wireless setting.

I can not seem to be able to find alternative firmware on openwrt nor on dd-wrt either.

Is my firmware somehow locked to the vendor? How can I make it a range extender
