DCS5030L - not accessible on Safari, Chrome or Firefox (MacOS)
« on: February 22, 2020, 09:52:07 PM »

Hello community,
I am trying to access the admin page for my cameras (DCS-5030L) on a Macbook. Unfortunately it always tells me to go to Internet Explorer.
"The browser you are using may have difficulty receiving images and video. If you experience any issues viewing this page, we suggest using Internet Explorer."

Is there a way around this, or do I need to keep a Windows machine just for these two D-Link cameras?
Thanks!

I have a couple DCS-5020L cameras, which are very similar to the ones you have, and have experienced the same problem. As I'm operating my Macs with Sierra, I can no longer trust Safari, given that Apple is no longer providing security updates. I now use the latest public version of Firefox. In order to access my cameras I've installed the User-Agent Switcher extension in Firefox, and simply have it indicate that I'm using Internet Explorer. I can access all of the camera's web pages. The only exception is that video streaming doesn't work, which never did on a Mac.

Hope this helps,

Larry ....
