good afternoon! i acquired a used DIR-655 router from a church sale. i plugged it in and a solid POWER, blinking STATUS, and solid WLAN LED's are lit. I looked at my cellphone WiFi connections and an SSID appears that is unknown to me and when I unplug the router, it disappears, and of course reappears when I plug back in. so i assume basic functionalities of the router are working. but being a curious individual, I wanted to see what was inside the router...mainly to inspect it being that it is an older model and had been used. so i removed the top cover to reveal the internals. after close inspection, i noticed that a capacitor was blown (I included two pictures at different angles to show, marked with a RED arrow). so my question is does anyone know what this particular capacitor is/was used for? i'm thinking it may be related to overheating and router dropping and starting, etc. any thoughts and help would be appreciated. in the meantime, I'm going to search my electronics parts for another capacitor to replace this one....with the same ratings, of course. 1000uF 6.3v
