I have implemented all the suggestions that can be found on the D-Link boards. I have even changed the LAN subnet mask to
255.255.255.128 and used the broadcast address
192.168.0.127. None of the suggestions worked. The only time that WOL works is internally withing the LAN, and also a few minutes after shutting down the PC from the WAN side. By the way, I have several clients for whom I recommended and installed the DGL-4300, and it works perfectly.
This is obviously a firmware issue and my only hope is that the programmers read this. I am sure the fix is easy, but who knows, maybe they don't give a crap.
As for your suggestion to contact D-Link support, I have done that before and it was a total waste of time. Suffice it to say that I would have had better results talking to the wall.
