Wireless working but wired not?
« on: August 28, 2009, 08:32:31 PM »

Im running win 7 x64 with a wireless g card in it, and its right next to my router. when i plug it in wired it works for a few seconds(acess internet+router), then it dies, and I cant even access the router through its ip address. but when i disable the wired and use wireless it works(internet+router acess). My ipod also works({wireless}internet+router acess) but why isnt anything working wired? currently running 1.32na.

Hi,

I have seen this here on a few occasions tho not with Win7...  I think it has to do with a basic "brain fart" by windows trying to decide which connection to use.

As you didn't mention this test I will... Disable the wireless, then and use only the wired.... see if it connects...

Also, in IE, you may need to go into Connections (in my IE at least) and create a new connection when only the wired is being used....  close IE and then re-open IE....see if it connects....

May have firewall issues/settings that are blocking the wired connection in some way....

See if anything helps...  write back...
