I'm trying to install the SharepointPlus.exe file on my new HP laptop running windows 10.  The error message says the publisher is blocked.  How do I unblock?
I've checked unblock in properties, I've  tried running as administrator and it still won't let me install.  I've tied to run from DOS using cmd, but when I try to run the sharepointplus.exe file it comes back with setup64.exe infront of the executable file name.  This reminds me of the user control issues with Vista.  Iam the administrator of my own machine and I'm not allowed to install a program!

I"m getting publisher blocked in WIndows 10 installing Shareport. I don't want to risk installing it until this problem is resolved. I presume that DLin kis aware of the certificate problem?

I'm having exactly the same problem on two Win 10 machines trying to install Shareport Plus 4.3 for windows.  I just upgraded from an old DIR-825 to a DIR-880L and would really like to setup printer sharing on it.  It's a sweet router.  I've emailed D-Link support using the website form and am waiting to hear back from them, but was wondering if anyone had found a work around.  It sounds like a bad cert in the install file.  I would attach a screen shot of the error but when I toggle "Attachments and other options" below the message box there's no link to select an attachment.

I'm running Win 10 Pro on a Dell T1700.

It was the cert.  The Verisign cert expired in Sept. 2015 and shows a status as revoked by issuer.

Any suggestions on the best way to get D-Link to correct this or does anyone know where to download another version with a valid cert?

No, when I go to the support page for the 880L v 4.3 shows as the most recent version for windows.  I'm not at home now so I can't try it directly but I did download 4.5 on my win 7 box at work and it has a valid cert.

Thanks!  And d-link needs to update their download links.  4.5 is fully out and supported, correct?

That did it.  v4.5 installed fine on both of my Win 10 machines and I have the shared printer configured.  Nice little utility.

D-Link could save their customers a lot of aggravation if they kept the links updated.  I'm sure OP wound up with v4.3 the same way I did.

You can always check the forum here for updates. Not sure if the app will be continued after Windows 10.

I wouldn't be surprised if D-link wants to phase it out.  USB was never designed for networking.  It's a point to point connection and SharePort is a software kludge to let network clients take turns using it.  I'm sharing a very old HP Deskjet 6500 that only provides a single USB port for connectivity.  Getting the new router just reminds me of how much easier it would be if I had a wifi printer, or going really old school and connecting the printer directly to the router with via Ethernet.  They sit on the same table.  The problem is that the old Deskjet refuses to die and I can't bring myself to replace it while it's still working.  I have open ports because most of the devices on my network connect via powerline adapters so they share one port on the router.

It's much easier for tech companies to EOL hardware than software.  Once you give people software for some reason they think that this creates an obligation to support it forever.  MS has also said that Win 10 is their last completely new desktop OS major release.  The plan going forward is to upgrade it incrementally component by component from now on.  We'll see.

Thanks again for your help.  Even though I sent them multiple screen shots of the expired cert the tech support people at d-link are still suggesting work arounds to get it to install anyway.  I told them today about the link to v4.3 on the 880L on the support page and sent them a screen shot of that.  For some reason I'm not optimistic that it will get updated anytime soon.
