Problem connecting to DNS-323 web interface
« on: August 26, 2009, 04:31:29 PM »

Am having problem connecting to DNS-323 web interface (admin panel), I have Windows 7, and firmware beta 1.0.8
It was working fine till last few days, then suddenly one morning the hard-drive (WD 1.5TB, single drive) started making lot of noise, from same time i was not able to access the web interface. When i goto http://192.168.1.100 (which is the NAS IP) i get no page, it's happening from last 3 days.

I can access the NAS from windows explorer, i can browse all the files, i can copy new one, i can even ping the NAS, its working.

I restarted the NAS several times but no luck. I even did hardware reset with a pin, still no luck. i cant access the web interface.
Please help.

Did you try resetting it to factory defaults and accessing it again?

You might consider removing the drive and then trying to access the box.  It'll come up with no drive, and you can access the web interface.  Obviously, it won't have any storage capacity. :)

power cycle down and disconnect the power plug for 5 minutes.

This should fix the problem.

Unfortunatley I have the same problem and every time the web interface times out I get this error.  make sure you logoff the web interface  so you wont get it.

THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH DLINK AND WHY I DONT LIKE THIS PRODUCT.   It is far too fussy

I run 2x1.5tb drives all work fine the web interface and even the UPNP doesn work at all with PS3

I use PS3 Media server which is I think the simplest way to set things up, even better than TVersity.

Plays MKV everything  very easy,  I just wish it was resident in the DNS323
