FTP problems
« on: September 09, 2009, 03:05:38 PM »

Hey guys - I'm wondering if you've been able to solve the mystery of folder permissions...

Basically, I'm running into an issue where I can't users specific rights to different folders.  As it stands, my users are only able to access either the full root on a read or read/write level or they can only have access to one folder under the root if I give them rights via a group.

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish:

Give the user read-access to specific folders under the route while giving the same user read/write access to a specific folder and denying access to other folders.

In my experimentation with groups, I've discovered you can't have the same user listed in more than one group so that kind of defeats the purpose of groups.  Does anyone have any insight on how to accomplish this goal?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If that's the case, does anyone know if this is something that will eventually be addressed in a firmware update?
