Hello All,
In trying to determine why my XBOX 360 wouldn't connect to my DIR-825 (B1 v2.02NA) I found a group of settings which cause a bug in the DIR-825. Basically the bug does something that doesn't allow wireless clients to obtain an IP from the router.
This bug occurs only when I setup the wireless network where 2.4 ghz is G only and 5 ghz is N only. I tried this on two computer same effect on both. You will see on the status -> statistics page that there are tons of TX dropped packets.
Not even turning off the 5ghz solved the problem. The only solution I could find was to change the 5ghz to mixed A & N. Suddenly the computers were able to connect wirelessly again.
Regards,
Nick
