Good day all, i am a new fairly new user with my DNS 323, i have an issue, first of all love my DNS, but i seem to have somehow locked up access to it, my grandson was helping gramps!word of caution watch closer what they do at your computer , i was in the configuration menu and setting a user name and password, now i cant access it. i cant seem to find any info on the website to cover this situation   i am really hoping to be able to access the device and not lose the data already on it. as a note i have 2 750  gig seagate drives  set as 2 volumes and i have no where else to put the data thanks in advance

There's a reset pinhole switch on the back - it does not normally cause loss of data - however, as a general rule - you really do need to backup any data you consider valuable.

Yes i know about that, i was hoping there was a another way just in case the data goes by by, thanks thou, i have asked Dlink tech support about this waiting for an answer regards

The Pinhole reset on the back back of the device restores the devices configuration file to default. This file is stored in the nas FLASH and does not affect your hard drive or hard drive configuration since this data is stored within the harddrive itself.

You're safe to reset the device without losing data.
