Router interference with wireless mouse

I recently purchased a DIR-615 and after installation my wireless mouse (Microsoft Wireless Optical 2.0) has become virtually useless. When I turn off the router the mouse works fine. I did not have this problem with my previous router.Does anyone else have this problem?
