DGL-4500 problem...
« on: October 12, 2009, 02:12:37 AM »

I have had this router for over 2 years! Since 2007. No problems during them times. But when I had upgraded the firmware to version 1.20-5/11/2009. I have been having connection problems every few days. What happen is, if I try to log onto the router, first problem is I get a error msg stating "unable to connect" the second problem is, trying to surf online, nothing will load... All I get it a blank white page and it just sits there. When that happens I'd have to unplug the router, wait 1 min. and plug back in, and it will work fine for couple days like est. (4-5 days) before it starts all up again. I upgraded to firmware 1.21NA - 7/29/2009, and that didn't fix my issue! Does D-Link know this problem is happing to alot of people and will they ever make a new firmware to actually fix this issue?  :'(

If your having this problem leave a post or if anyone has an info on if they will fix it or there is some way to fix this problem.... Thanks!

Welcome to the 1.21na club.

I am on 1.21na and I have connection problem every 6 hours. Router lock up, unable to enter the router and lose connection to the internet.

And yea if you read around they are having problem with 1.20-1.21na, not sure why they leave the bad firmware up for d/l.. sigh..

I have been surfing the DLink forum trying to find a stable wireless router since my WBR-2310 is starting to drop my wireless connection.  To my surprise, I find every DLink router seems to be having the same issue.  It appears when anyone upgrades to the latest f/w, the problem starts.  This is not unique to this router, or mine.... but every one.  Check it out for yourself!  I thought I would upgrade to the DIR-655, but noted the same complaints there.  Same with my DWA-552 Adapter....

Perhaps some disgruntled tech has done the nasty with the f/w programs?
