hi,
after hours of testing with different email-accounts i've found a problem with the characters used in the password.
i've changed my password on my email account to letters and numbers only...without any special characters. after that i updated the settings on my nas with a very suprising and positive email test!! *strrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrike*
to be sure i finaly changed the password back to the old one...ieeekkk...failure.
it looks like a bug for me.
i hope i can help someone outside with this frustrating email alert problem.
