D655 Slow Streaming Speed Between Two Laptops on WLAN

I'm trying to transfer a movie (about 700MB) between two laptops connected wireless to my DIR-655 home network. The best speed I get is about 1MBps. Where should I look to in order to increase it to a normal speed level? By the way what this speed should be?
Both laptops run Vista, one has .11n card (connected with 130 MBps), the second - .11g (connected with 54 MBps). Both show very good signal quality. Both work OK on Internet connection, but not between them...  :-\
Please advise.
