Resetting adn WEP

I'm a bit technically challenged so I am hoping you can help me...
1.  I have set the SSID and WEP security password key and all is well
2.  When playing Pokerstars I have to reset using the pin at the back of the router every time I log onto their site or I disconnect when playing online poker.  Once reset, it is 100% connected to Pokerstars.  No other poker sites do this; i.e. Full Tilt or Party Poker.

Do I lose my security making me vulnerable to the neighbors every time I reset the router?

How can I tell if it is enabled or disabled on any given day?

Any help (in language for "Router Skills for Dummies" would be appreciated. LOL  ???
