FTP privileges?

is it not possible to have a directory on the FTP server read and write but not have ability to delete files.

Have a script running that moves any written files to a R/O folder whenever it discovers them. :)

so the FTP feature is not meant to be used over the Internet.

Well, if you simply have an account for each person you're allowing access, they aren't likely to delete their files, right? :)
