FTP Server
« on: October 16, 2009, 06:16:08 PM »

Trying to set up the FTP Server and still having problems connecting I have forwarded port 21 to 192.168.1.10 in the router to my NAS.
Have also added a user to the FTP settings

Looking at the FTP Server Status it says SSL/TLS  connection YES but the Allow SSL/TLS connection box is unchecked

FTP Server Status :
  Status  Started
  Port 21
  Max. User 10
  Flow Control Unlimited
  Idle Time 5
  Client Language Western European
  SSL/TLS connection Yes
  Passive Mode 55536~55663

All good, have it working now, had to disable the firewall in the router.
Another problem, everytime I add a folder for a ftp user to access on the DNS-323 it never shows up, I went into the icon properties on the drive in Network and it says \\DNS-323\Volume_1, but in the computer icon it shows a folder and it's properties are \\192.168.1.10\Volume_1 and when I transfer files to this folder it shows up for the ftp user.
Do I need to copy over files and folders to this icon for it to work? why can I not just have everything in one location? i.e the DNS-323 drive?
