dap 1360
« on: March 15, 2010, 06:39:25 PM »

posting here since there is no forum devoted to the 1360.

so i purchased the 1360 to use a repeater. the wireless signal in my house is very weak and competing with other area networks when i'm in my living room. so i thought the 1360 would help.

i've got it setup and configured so that it's attached to my network and when i scan the wireless networks in my area it shows up as a second AP. the problem is that i am getting constantly disconnected from my network now. every 20-30 seconds my laptop loses its connection and it has to renegotiate an IP. if i unplug the 1360 then i no longer lose my connection.

thoughts? ideas?

by the way - why is there almost zero mention of this device on dlink's website and even anywhere else online?

oh well. mark this down as yet another dlink item that's being returned. this makes 3 things i've bought and have been unable to get working as they should/have been advertised. this one is the best yet because there's ZERO support for it. barely any mention of it on dlinks website and nothing else to be found online.

time to start using netgear or something else...
