Hi,
I have just received a new 615 with hardware version D2 and software version 1.00VG from my ISP in the UK, but I can't even get it working.
The installation instructs to put the cd in before connecting and cables or power to the router, which I do. It then instructs me to plug in the power lead, which I do. It says that the power light should blink on and off, but on my modem, the power light is solid for the most part, but occasionally it starts blinking. Anyway, the cd now tells me to connect the router to the ethernet socket on my pc, which I also do, but the corresponding LED on the front of the router does not light up like it is supposed to, and when I click 'next', I am informed that the computer is not connected correctly and that I should check the power and cable connection, which I do, but both are connected correctly.
I have tried various ethernet cables just in case one may be faulty, but the problem persists. I am a fairly experienced pc user, but can someone please tell me what I could be doing wrong, or maybe that the router could be faulty.
