Well, I got it fixed finally....

Returned the DIR-825 and bought a DIR-655 and left the firmware at 1.21 and everything is working like a charm.  Xbox 360 works great, DAP-1522's work great and the signal strength is much better.  The 825 sounds like a great idea but unfortunately it is not.

I'm updating this thread so people are aware that as of Oct 26th, 2009 Dlink released a Beta firmware to fix the Xbox 360 microsoft adaptor! Check in the beta section for the firmware!
