wireless connection problems
« on: October 24, 2009, 12:18:13 PM »

Hello,

I connected and set up the router last night and I connected both wired and wireless (at only 130mbps but i can deal with that later).  Today, my roomate and her boyfriend connected to the router with their blackberries and now my wireless PC won't connect.  It sees the connection but won't connect to it.  I called customer support but they said the problem was too advanced for them and had me call another number, which of course is closed on the weekends.  I'm going to have them unconnect the blackberries to see if I can connect again but the router shouldn't have trouble with only 3 wireless connections.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this would be happening.  I have a Belkin N+ USB adapter (F5D8055) on my PC..

Thanks in advanced.

Update:  I figured it out.  They must have done something when they connected the Blackberries.  I did a hard reset, got my PC running, then manually configured the Blackberries instead of having the Blackberries try to configure it themselves.

i have noticed the same thing when my blackberry is conneceted to my wireless. It either causes my other wireless pc to not connect at all or its very slow. Since updating to 1.32na its becoming a nightmare. You would think since so many ppl are having trouble with the latest update, they would remove it so more ppl doing screw up the dir-655.  I wish I never updated.

You bring up a valid point.  Why haven't they removed the firmware so they cut back on the number of people installing this trash firmware.

Recalling sth = it has problem. I guess it's either you're a very small numbers of users or D-Link does not want/dare to admit they have problem with this firmware version.

I'm not without problems with this version, but after a lot of tinkering I have found the magic settings that works for me with this firmware version. These settings does not work for everyone, though unfortunately.
