Does the dir-615 get a private IP from your modem ( uncommon for cable ) or a public IP from your ISP ( common ). If it gets an IP from your ISP then their support will be able to check some logs to see if any IP revocation is actually occuring (probably not). Therefore is really sounds like your connection between the router and cable modem is becoming saturated. Could be a faulty cable or connector, or it could even be the MTU settings. Most of the 615's default to 1500, typical for ethernet. But your ISP may be different and you would need to know what they use so you can set the right MTU.
