What power adapter should a DAP-1522 have?

We bought a DAP-1522 and we can't get it to power up.  The power adapter that came with it seems suspicious since it wasn't neatly coiled as in most new electrical products.  It has a D-Link logo on it (model AF1205-B) but either this power adapter is bad or the whole unit is bad.  The only reason we're questioning the power adapter is because it looks like someone took it out and either used it or replaced with a different power adapter.
