bridge experiment, need help.

i am begging for a way to use my DGL-3420 to bridge a connection so i can hook my DGL-4500 into it and run my laptop, and my PS3 through the bridge... however, every time i link that ancient DGL-3420 to a computer it doesn't let a thing happen, nothing has ever frustrated me quite as much as this thing. >:(

I am hoping that with a little tinkering i will be able to ressurect this peice of garbage into something to respect. 8)

any advice will be taken greatly, i am trying to connect to a Linksys router, so the internal IP is 192.168.1.1, i need the DGL-3420 to comply with these changes.  Please help.

all you really need to do is change the ip of the one router to 192.168.1.2 and leave the one other on 192.168.1.1 for example.  you may also need to turn off DHCP on one of the routers.  you will also have to probably change the gateway settings on your adapters on your computers/game consoles to static, manually assign ip addresses and change the gateway to the router that has the modem on it.  that should work.
