LOT OF FILES ARE sudendly "LOCKED"...
« on: December 04, 2009, 02:03:00 PM »

My NAS have 2 HD. One 500GB, and the Other 320 Gb.

I always work on the 320 GB, and once a week, i synch all data from the 320 Go to the 500 Go.

Yesterday, something weird appear... all XLS file are Locked. Excell told me that they are "crypted" or something else.
I can't copy them somewhere else, either open them. And this happen on multiple location.

My 1 week backup (on the 500 Go drive # 2) work OK !.

1 - I use firmware 1.07 Beta
2 - I try the ScanDisk... no error found
3 - I reset to Factory Default, and configure the NAS again.

nothing.. file still locked and unaccessible...
Problem from XP and Vista...

And of course, only on the Volume_1  (the 320 Go).

How can i reset the permission ?

note  : i was using permission as "READ/WRITE" access to ALL..
I try create a user and give him permission, no result !

Finaly ! ... 3 files were locked onyl...
I downgrade the Firmware to 1.07, and reset to Factory.
After re-enter all my setting...

I found that the "SYSTEM" has all righ to these 3 files (located on different folder), but not the user... no right at all.

This reset to factory and downgrade fix the problems...

weird !... why only 3 files, and not all of them, or a complete Folder...
