Run both NFS and Samba
« on: December 05, 2009, 12:24:45 PM »

It isn't clear whether or not the DNS-321 can similtaneously support both NFA and Samba.  Has anyone set up for this?  Are Samba sgares also NFS shares?

SAMBA and NFS are totally different.  I see no reason why they won't coexist, but I haven't tried it.

I have several Windows PCs and they needs Samba for access.  I also have a Linux system that needs NFS access.  Hence the question.

Have you tried it, or are you asking in preparation of buying the DNS-321?

Both work simultaneously without any problems.
