How do I determine the build version?
« on: December 25, 2009, 10:48:08 PM »

I last downloaded 1.08 on 07/20/09 and I'm not sure what build it is.  How do I tell for sure what build I'm using?  I'd like to stay current, but I'm not sure what "current" is since all I can see is that I'm at 1.08.  The only add-on I have installed is BitTorrent, so hopefully there won't be any problem if I go to 1.08b8.

Thoughts, anyone?

There's a new beta of the BitTorrent client, so you may want to install that after installing the firmware upgrade.

...after installing the firmware upgrade.

But how do I know if I need the firmware upgrade?  Is there any way to tell what build of v1.08 that I have?  Have there been updates to the builds since July '09?

The July build is 1.05 I believe.

Here's what my DNS-323 says for the 1.08b8 firmware.

Current Firmware Version :      1.08
Firmware Date :     11/25/2009

Too cool - that did it!  Mine was 05/15/09, but 1.08, so it must've been an older version.  I'm now at the same version of 1.08 that you show, in terms of date, and I also updated the BitTorrent as well.  Thank you for the info & the heads-up on the BitTorrent!   :)
