Use Linux to view DCS-5220
« on: July 30, 2009, 02:19:51 AM »

Hi can I use Linux OS to connect to DCS-5520 camera? If so how can I do it. Currently when I use debian OS to connect to it, the frames and required me to install activeX plug-ins. Unlike in IE, it does not bring me to the installation screen. How can I load the activeX plug-ins for this?

Please advise

you can't use ActiveX plug ins in Linux.  Your best bet as far as I know is finding some security camera management software that runs in Linux that you can use with this camera.

Good Luck.
