frequent timeouts on wired connection with 655
« on: January 04, 2010, 11:56:11 AM »

I just got a 655 to replace my Airport Extreme N, largely b/c it had no QOS options.

I run a webmail server on my linux box (connected via wired LAN gigabit port), and am seeing timeouts (in my browser) trying to reach the box.

I see these frequently from outside (dyndns address), and also notice them when I have my wireless laptop at home (accessing the wired linux box) from within the same network (I use Squirrelmail, which is set up with a 10 minute auto-reload/refresh).  I have yet to make it thru a single overnight period without seeing a timeout error occur.  This was not happening with my AEX.

I've disabled SPI, and have Virtual Servers set up to port forward http and ssh from the outside to the linux box.  Usually this works fine, but other times the connection times out.  For the most part, the server box is sitting idle.

Looking for ideas to solve this problem.

Its A4 hardware with 1.32NA firmware.

beta09 seems to have solved my issues ( I had no luck disabling DNS relay on the non-beta)

Same issue.  Where do I get beta?  It has to be better than 1.32NA release code.
