I tried a different server and I got a ping of 63 which was good but it seems my mb/s is still low and I honestly don't know if the brighthouse testing site is correct. It said I was getting 32mb/s and I have a 20mb/s so that seems a little unlikely.

My guess is that they had you test against the node which you are closest to, or the node that services your area. With my provider, in the terms, it mentions that speeds offered are taken from the closest node to my location. So that means, all their other nodes, which interconnect to the node that distributes to my area, could be problematic but as long as the node that is closest to me are fine, i'm SOL.

Do a tracert/nmap on speedtest.tampabay.rr.com against another server and you will see what i'm talking about.

Did you try a different speedtest.net server or just the pingtest.net server?  Although for gaming, ping response time is more important than your maximum download speed.

Even with a little higher ping time, I would not worry about it too much unless you notice stutters in your game play or if other players start jumping around.  If you have a good ping response time, it's the server.
