I'm using a Motorola SB6120 Cable Modem which has Gigabit Ethernet. The Ethernet connection indicator lights blue (meaning port speed is Gigabit) when connected to my DIR-825 Wan port. I'm on a Docsis 3 cable network and am getting 63 Mbit down and 6 Mbit Up speeds with NAT routing between WAN/LAN ports. So I think its working fine. Rev B1, Firmware 2.02NA
Update: 2018
FYI, there are two differences between Gb Ethernet and Gb support speed from ISPs. Gb Ethernet is a physical connect rate speed between one device and another. Here it's the modem's RJ45 port rated at 1000Mb or 1Gb and the DIR routers WAN/LAN RJ45 ports rated at 1000Mb or 1Gb. This is a physical connection rate only. Has nothing to do with actual data throughput ISP speeds. 2010 era there wasn't any supporting 1Gb ISP WAN speeds. This didn't come to pass until about 2015 est era and beyond.
Theoretical ISP WAN speeds for the SB6120 were:
WAN throughput: 172 Mbps
WAN throughput upstream: 131 Mbps
Current SB series modems that support actual 1Gb WAN ISP speeds is the SB6190, SB8200 from Arris. Most current modems dated 2008 era or after, usually have RJ45 ports that support 1000Mb or 1Gb physical connection rated ports.
