In reply to an above response. That is the IP address of the blocked traffic.
I do not know how to open that up...

Thats an option. I'm more concerned about the voip device. I'm wondering what codecs/protocols your SIP provider are running.

OK. Now it has been since Chrsitmas that I have had this router THAT DOES NOT WORK.
WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT IT?

As previously stated. I can hook the voip ata directly up to the cable modem and it runs.
Hook it up to the Dlink DGL-4500 and it does not.

Can you take alook at it tonight?
I'll open the remote management up and be available online ALL night till 11pm CST.

Finally after talking and reading alot....and no help from DLINK by the way...
I decided to just start experimenting.

I wrote a gaming rule?
I guess you'd call that and had it run on a port, that I guessed at to open that to that machine.
I got a dial tone.

Any one can pm me or whatever and I'll tell ya what I did.

I am posting my second issue in a new post next.... let's see if Dlink can help with that one and if it takes over four weeks for me to stumble accross the solution.

Thats a pretty bad attitude to have. These forums are here as a courtesy to us. being rude to the D-Link techs because they had a difficult time providing an answer to your poorly stated vague question, is uncouth at best.

Sounds like a simple port forward issue. If you read down it looks likes russel had suggested exactly that to you.

I am locking this topic as it has become flamish and unproductive.

Scansterz answer was a port forward, in the GAMING (the DGL-4500's version of port forwarding) section of the ADVANCED tab, create a rule that forwards the ports that the SIP provider gives you to the IP address of the VOIP device. It's recommended that the VOIP device has a static ip address or a DHCP reservation entry from the router itself.
