Cannot Copy Parallels .PVM Files to DNS-321
« on: February 12, 2010, 03:39:11 PM »

[img]Hello All,

I am running a MacBook Pro 10.6.2 with a Windows Vista Guest OS. I have a DNS-321 with Firmware 1.3 and just one Western Digital Caviar 1.5TB HD formatted as ext-3.

I can easily mount the NAS to my Mac, however when I try to copy the .pvm file (165 GB), I receive the following error after about 1.5 GB:

"The Finder can't complete the operation because some data in "Parallels" can't be read or written. (Error Code -36)"

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance for your help!

Best,
Albert

I wonder if that exceeds the individual file size for the box?  I've never tried anything bigger than a 30gig image backup file.

I was thinking the same thing - Does anyone know supported maximum file size?
