FW 1.08 final - Firmware Date still shows 12/18/2009
« on: February 18, 2010, 02:53:47 AM »

Hi all,

after upgrading from 1.08b9 to 1.08 final I did a hard reset (hold the reset button on the back for 15 secs) of my device. All my configuration is gone and set back to default. So far so good.

The only thing I am curious about is, that the firmware date still shows 12/18/2009, which is the date of the 1.08b9.

Any ideas?

Don't be surprised.

I performed a binary compare between both versions 1.08b9 from the GB site and the final 1.08. Actually they are 100% identical, so no wonder both share the same creation date. In fact, they *are* identical  ;D

...that's what I suspected...  :-\
and gunrunnerjohn compared the 1.08 to the 1.09b1 with the same result:

Well, I say someone from D-Link state that the 1.08b8 was going to be the released version, no changes were being added.  I guess they were telling the truth. :)
