DDNS configuration
« on: February 19, 2010, 07:11:01 AM »

I have recently reset my DIR-628 router and re-did the settings.  Part of my settings was setting up a Dynamic DNS (DDNS) with "www.dyndns.org."  This had been working for "years" but now it seems that the DDNS settings get turned off 12 hours later.

I am using

Hardware Version: A2
Firmware: 1.22NA

A further update.  DDNS feature appears to be broken now at the DDNS "service" now.  DlinkDDNS is a "special" service provided by DynDNS.org.  I tried to set up a DlinkDDNS account but it refused because I have a DynDNS.org account (this is how I found the "true" DDNS service company.) The DDNS client in my DIR-628 does not appear to update the entries at the DDNS "service."   DynDNS.org is forcing their own Windows update client software.
