Restore Configuration from File
« on: February 11, 2008, 07:15:44 PM »

Should the "Restore Configuration from File" work after the Router was RESET (from the back)?

My son did this (I think trying to get his World of Warcraft access back).

When I tried to restore the saved router config - it gave me a message that either the router was too busy or I might not be logged in as admin.

I then LAN connected the PC to the router and tried again. No luck.

So then I redid the initial Setup for Internet, Wireless Settings and Network Settings.

I tried the "Restore Configuration from File" again - and it worked.

I'm just curious if there is a certain amount of config set up required before doing a restore??

We are seeing this every once in a while. We are not sure what causes it. It may be a checksum issue. After you re-create your configuration and re-save it, you should be able to reload that newer file NP.
