Supported USB filesystem and can it bridge?
« on: March 22, 2010, 04:22:13 AM »

Hi

I'm considering a DIR-655 but have two questions I need answers to.

1. What file system on the USB hard drive does it support? I have a 3TB NTFS with one big partition (GPT).
2. Can it bridge a LAN port, to excluding NAT on my VoIP service.

Many thanks

1. Shareport is file system independent
2. I suspect it can't

Thanks for your answer. 50% the answer I wanted, is there some hope for the bridge functionality? Any ideas on how to get a definite answer?

Thanks again

Never argue with a burk. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience

True.

Actually you're dead wrong. If you put the router in bridge mode it turns off nat. The bridge mode is hidden by css so if you turn off css in your browser the option will show up. Also older firmware like 1.04 have the option still in plain sight. You can search how to downgrade firmware to go back to that generation of firmware.

Bridge mod is bridges mod !! and NAT, DHCP, DNS-RELAY and probably UNPNP turns off.
But that is a function not a option and that is not supported by D-link.
