I've also done the latest update of DD-WRT on my DIR-615 Rev D1 and everything is perfect. All the problems i had have now gone away.

Has the previous posted stated "This is now a worthwhile router"  ;D

I had pretty much given up on this router and D-Link due to their very very poor support. I used to swear by Dlink switches and such for my work as a network engineer. After the crap that this router and it's makers have given me i will not be recommending their products to any of my customers from now on. Such a shame because the top line of their switches etc are brilliant build quality. Just the people involved in the company and the software they put on them is pure fail.

After that said i'm happy with my DIR-615 with it's proper working firmware now. Thanks to DD-WRT but still i will be buying other products in the future.

As of April 8, 2010, the DD-WRT website says they are not supported.

Manufacturer     Model     Revision     Supported     Activation required
D-Link            DIR-615          C1           no              no
D-Link            DIR-615         D1           no              no

So, which version have you installed?

Well if you had no problems with D-Links official firmware in the first place then you probably had no need to go to DD-WRT. Like the saying always goes "If it's not broke don't fix it".  :)

I personally changed to DD-WRT due to some routing problems with multipul systems in my house. DD-WRT fixed it all for me. Also i've had no wireless problems on DD-WRT at all up to now. Everything i have wireless connects and stays connected. 99% perfect for me. Great speeds, more features etc etc. The only little niggle i had was the side light (I believe it's a reset button of some sort) is red on bootup of the router. A command in the Administration/command page fixed this for me.

Maybe in you case it was something to do with the hardware version being different but i have read reports of the D1 and D2 working fine. Your C2 hardware version may be the issue. I don't know for sure but maybe look around on DD-WRT's forums.

Good luck in whatever you go with  ;)
