DIR-615. C2. 3.03WW keeps disconnecting - Wireless Only
« on: April 09, 2010, 01:15:22 PM »

I own a dlink router DIR-615, with hardware version:- C2, and Firmware Version:- 3.03WW.

In wired connection its fine. However with wireless connections, it keeps on disconnecting every few hours, does anyone know any fix for this? :S

Thanks in advance. :)

I found the problem, when I turned off the Wireless Security Mode and set it to none, that means no password required, it doesn't reset at all, when I turn on the Wireless Security Mode to WPA-Personal, and set my password, every few hours, it resets. :S

Welcome to the rest of the DIR-615 world. This is why I left over a year ago for a linksys (has worked since I took it out of the box and setup configuration for wifi and has never been reset). I had these issues, wifi devices not being able to connect, not getting IP addresses, would have to reset it just to get 30 - 45 minutes of connection and then right back. Figured hey, probably my device.... 2 iPhones, a Wii, 5 computers, 2 laptops all acting the same.

Dlink simply makes crap products, and has no care in the world to update them or fix these issues.
