does shareport work for you?
if so, post here and let us know your hardware versions, configs, setup, etc.

i'd love to hear from anyone that shareport actually works for. seems like all i read is posts from people that can't get it working.

maybe i can learn something from someone that has it running well in order to get mine working.

I've had zero problems getting SharePort working. I'm using...

RouterDIR-655 Hardware Version: A4 Firmware Version: 1.32NA
SharePort Utilityv3.0.0 R1 (SXUPTP v3.3.8.0)
USB DeviceThermaltake BlacX eSATA USB Docking Station ST0005U
DriveWestern Digital 2 TB Caviar Green SATA Intellipower 64 MB Cache WD20EARS
OSWindow 7 Ultimate x64

I simply enabled SharePort within the routers settings, connected the device and installed the SharePort Utility. The installer prompted me to change the Window Firewall settings to add SharePort to the exception list. And that was it... it just worked.

Hi - I posted in another string, then saw this one.  Although I have not got shareport working, it's only because I haven't even unpackaged my DIR-655 yet.

Have you had success yet?

Hi,

I have been using shareport for a couple years or so now....Using XP it worked fine for me.... USB printer...never tired a hard drive...

But now with new windows 7 Pro x64 I am having fits.....
