Recorded TV on NAS
« on: April 25, 2010, 12:34:25 AM »

Does anyone know how I can point Media Centre to use my NAS as the recorded TV location? I have managed to find the registry entry to change the location and have entered the UNC Path (I was told that you cannot use drive letters). When I go into Media Centre and have a look at the Recorder Storage, the path shows up as \\0Gb?? Is there another setting I need to make?

Anyone?

I have read that I need to make an anonymous login and give it R/W access...

Some Microsoft programs are network sentient and will not save to or play from networks.  The usual clues are they won't show network shares as storage locations.

Not to say it can't be done but Google may be a better bet to finding an answer than this forum.

Thanks. I have searched high and low on Google... Like I said, I can get the Media Centre pointing to the NAS, it just doesn't show up...
