The printer is new, and I am able to print using the USB cord, but the "Wireless Network Test Report" returns a FAIL when the printer looks for my SSID. During printer setup yesterday, both the SSID and WPA key were accepted and the install software claimed the printer was added to my wireless network, but so far it has failed to do any wireless printing.
- HP's tech support had me open a bunch of ports (TCP and UDP) in my windows firewall, but still no success. By the way, is it ok that I chose subnet as opposed to "any computer" when setting the scope on those ports?
- Spoke with Dlink support today, and she had me uncheck the "Enable SPI" box. Still no change.
Setup - The computer I am currently trying to print from is connected to the router via a cable. There are two other computers that are wireless only that I will move to next if I can get this one to print. The printer is an HP C4750, router is DIR-655 (1.32NA), and I'm running Windows XP Home.
Anyone out there got the cure for me?
Also, I've not yet even pondered using the Shareport functionality on the router.
