DIR-655 Problems
« on: February 29, 2008, 09:05:06 PM »

I am using the DIR-655 for almost a year now with firmware 1.11 and Vista. It seems I am having part of the problems others are reporting to have. Sorry to say but my former router the DI-624 was much more stable and faster. It seems to me that this router was put on the market too early and we are all Beta testers. I just hope the solution is not a new revision which will come after my guarantee will expire.

I don't know how you can say a 624 is faster, I mean the 655 has gig ports. That right there, plus the NAT cpu is like 4X faster then the 624. What sort of problems are you having?

Just read posts of others from the last week and even earlier. I have part of these problems.
Connection drops, Wireless speed not better and so on, the fact we have GIG LAN is good but why suffer from the rest of the problems?

Unfortunately there are issues. Not everybody suffers from these problems, however, we are working to correct them as quickly as possible so that the DGL-4500 is the best router we can make it.
Please bear with us.
