I'm about to buy a DIR-655 and would like to know:

- Are you able to mix 100 Mbps and 1000 Mpbs devices on the switch, with gigabit devices still running at full speed? I'm asking this, as I have a DNS-323 which I would of course like to connect at full speed with the network, but I also have a HP Photosmart C6160 which is only 100 Mbps. It would be a pity if in the all the network would slow down to 100 Mbps just because of a printer...

- Which switch is best for this router? I was thinking about buying the DGS-1008D (European Version), but I read also that this switch using mixed speeds will go down to just 100 Mbps... As the switch would be in a central point at the home (the DIR-655 will be at the office, and the Switch in the living room, connecting together all the rooms of the home) and have to connect to a TV Box from Motorola which I believe is only 100 Mbps. Again it would be bad if most of my network would slow down to 100 Mbps just because of a slow TV Box...

Thanks for your answers,

Miguel

Of course you can. Look at the DGS-2208/5. Perfect compliment to that router.

The only time your computers would really slow down would be when they would be communicating with the 100MB devices.
