Second Long Hiccups In Signal
« on: June 12, 2010, 06:56:45 PM »

Hullo there, i've been trying to fix this problem for awhile now, and decided to drop by here and see what you folks think.

My wireless seems to have issues regarding a consistent signal, and I don't just mean signal strength, the signal just switches off quickly, than re-establishes itself fast enough that Windows doesn't even show that its 'disconnecting', however using any kind of consistent media, (streaming video) pauses happen quite frequently.

At first I thought it was Vista, but I figured I'd try to stream a file onto my xbox, and I had the same thing happen.

NetSurveyor shows my signal strength remains constant, and I don't have any competition for the channel I use.

I recently downloaded firmware 1.34.

I suppose the issue could be with my computer doing the streaming, but that doesn't seem like the problem as I've tried from 2 different wire-connected PC's on the network.

Any ideas?

If you have fiber or fast internet, try to turn, Dynamic Fragmentation off under QoS Engine Setup
