Dont think so 1.32FINAL was the final firmware for the DIR-655 device, 1.34 was only a minor bug fix of the securespot issue.

Incorrect as there was also 1.33 which:
1. Fixed:  Correct HNAP issue.
2. Fixed:  DNS relay issue ( WAN Slowdown )
3. Added:  Advanced DNS descriptions

If you upgrade to 1.34 you would also receive these fixes/additions.

I have an issue with 1.34NA where the router will crash everyone once in a while.
Actually, not fully crash.
Just my VoIP will stop registering with there providers.
I have 2 separate VoIP lines each from a different provider.  Approximately, Once evey 2 weeks or so, they will go down.  and the only way I can get them to re-register is to reboot my DIR-655 router.
I think that downloading torrents my exaggerate the issue...

VoIP is using port 5060 possibly 5061 as well.

sounds like a BUG! no?

To correct your VOIP problem, another poster has suggested (successfully) to change your Advanced Firewall SIP setting to "unchecked."

I have the same problem and unchecking SIP setting does not help. Even putting the ATA in the DMZ does not help. Even in the DMZ it blocks outgoing ICMP packets from the ATA. Honestly so many of the features on this router simply do not work. I have an A4 which I reflashed to 1.34 to help with this issue... it was better but I still lose VOIP every 8 hours or so. Considering this router has been on the market for a few years this is really not impressive.

maybe its the A4 version that is problematic rather than the 655 in general....

It is possible, but I still cannot respect the company for bringing out a buggy product and then being very slow to update firmware.

just because you have no problems does not mean your router has no bugs. You just have not used it in a way that reveals them. A bunch of features simply do not work on this router. DMZ and website filtering are rubbish. When I put a device in DMZ it still blocks OUTBOUND traffic... WTF

Trust me, I am using it quite intensively.
Those features should not be in use anyway  ;)

Is there a wireless N range issue? Or is it your environment that limits the wireless range/quality?

Doing N here, transmitter on north side of the house, passing through 30 feet indoor walls, concrete +brick walls outside walls and still able to get wifi with on the south side, up till 50 feet into the garden...
