Not able to delete Folder
« on: July 23, 2010, 08:58:42 AM »

Hi!

My Problem is: I have connected the DNS-323 as a network drive (A:) on two WinXP computers and one Win7.

My folder structure is:

Nas
->Videos
->Musik
->Bilder
->Eigene Bilder

Backup
->...

Now I want to delete "Eigene Bilder" cause I just want to have "Bilder". But when I try that I get the error message that the file is in use by another person or program. But this folder is empty...

Can you help me out of that, please?

Thank you!

Have you tried shutting off all the computers except one (I'd try leaving the XP system on), then rebooting the DNS323, then trying to delete the folder? If that doesn't work, run the disk scan.

It worked! But does that mean, that I can not delete any folders when multiple computers are connected to the device?

Thats not real multi user sharing...  >:(

How can one solve this?  ???

i wouldn't blame the NAS, but it is more likely a Windows issue. Could be you simply had the directory open, therefore lpcked.
